African Grey Parrot
I think that the African Grey is one of the most beautiful parrots in the species. It's also one of the easiest species to care for. Obviously, by it's name we can tell that the breed originated from Africa. Central Africa actually. These birds are highly intelligent and are known for their exceptional ability to talk and even think. African Greys will, with proper guidance, develope a rather large vocabulary and can usually communicate quite well with their owners.
There are two different types of African Grey parrots. The Congo African Grey is light grey with a red tail. The Timneh African Grey is a darker charcoal grey with a maroon tail. Both of them are considered to be medium-sized in the greater universe of parrots. They tend to grow to be about 10 to 14 inches in length.
As in most species, the males are generally a bit larger then the females, growing to about 12 to 14 inches in length. But unlike many other species in the aviary kingdom, the appearances of both sexes are pretty much the same. No male superiority here. Upon close examination of two african parrots side by side, we will discover that the Female African Grey Parrot will have a narrower head and a more slender neck.
African Greys have a Very Long lifespan, sometimes living up to 60 years. That means that these parrots will need an owner who can make a long term commitment to them. In addition, because of their high intelligence, African Grey Parrots require an owner that is experienced and who can understand their needs. They can easily become bored so, a stimulating and interactive environment is a must. Without their intellectual needs met African Greys might turn their boredom into behavioral problems like feather picking and other forms of self mutilation, making life difficult for bird and owner. They are very sensitive birds with strong personalities and even a small change in their daily routine or in their surroundings can lead an African Grey parrot to become cranky and disruptive. Although they are typically well behaved and a great pet these birds bring with them many of the same challenges associated with parenthood. African Greys that are unhappy and undisciplined will get into trouble. They might chew wires or bite the hand that feeds them. They pick up behaviors very quickly so if you inadvertently reinforce bad habits you are going to have a problematic relationship with your African Grey. However, on the other hand you can also easily teach them very good habits and behaviors and have a loving happy relationship with your beautiful parrot.
One of the reasons that African Grey parrots make such great pets is because they are very social birds. In the wild they typically stay with the flock for many years. That flocking instinct is exactly what will allow a new, caring owner of the African Grey parrot adopt this new family as part of their flock. Some of them have been known to "cuddle" with their owners. Although they don’t like continual intense physical contact they do enjoy petting and head-scratching. Part of the learning curve of the new owner of the African Grey Parrot is to not be put off bysome of their bird’s rather strange signs of affections. i.e. Regurgitation for a Grey is a sign of deep affection. They will also try to “kiss” their owners on the mouth. While it very tempting to "kiss" the parrot back, it's really not recommended because the human mouth contains bacteria that is quite dangerous to the bird. Like a chile, It is important for the owners to understand that these birds’s have a high need for companionship. If a parrot is lonely they may begin to vocalize excessively, pluck their own feathers, or even start to bite. But, Because of these tendencies, African Grey parrots may not be good pets for a family with young children. Their beaks are very strong and hard and young Children may not understand the danger to them if the parrot is exhibiting bad behavior.
African Grey parrots are full of personality and human like qualities. Those who are lucky enough to own one will have a pet with an intelligence and personality not equaled in many other animals.

In the light of all the darkness threatening the skies of our lives; there is a rainbow, a double rainbow representing the Lord and His Mother, a rainbow of promise and hope! Mother Mary is holding up Her Son's Arms and, as with Moses, as long as She is so doing, God will not mete out Justice.
But hear this and take it to your hearts, Our God of Mercy not allow the inhumanity that has pervaded our country and our world, swarming over and infecting everyone with whom it comes in contact, to continue.
There is little time; but there is time! We can make a difference. We must make a difference! If we will only turn back to the Lord Our God, the final price exacted, will not be disastrous. God is ready to embrace us, to take us back; to forgive us. He will allow us to refuse Him, to reject His Mercy, to turn our backs on Him, to go to hell if we insist. But one thing we can hold onto, and I guess it is the most painful to remember--it is so one-sided, is God's never ending love, forgiveness, and sacrifice for us, which began on the Cross.
Is that why the enemy of God, has misled pastors into ripping the crucified Lord from the Altars and replacing Him with fancy bars of gold and silver?
Are we emulating Judas when he sold Jesus out for thirty pieces of silver? Are we willing to let the enemies of the Cross strip the memory of the extent of pain and suffering Our Lord Jesus was willing to endure to prove how much He loves us.
Does the enemy want us to rely on sinful man for our salvation and, knowing how man will fail, despair.
Well, as never before the people of God are well armed, like Blessed Miguel Pro with a Crucifix in one hand and a Rosary in the other, and the double edged sword of the Word as our shield, we fight for our Church and for this country founded under God, Our United States of America.
We are reclaiming our beloved country back for God! Pray and teach your families to pray! Who can you trust? You can trust God!

I was going through an old copy of the magazine Appaloosa and kept seeing these beautiful appys complete with long tails. appys All I've ever known (except for two that were like Quarter Horse / Appaloosa cross) had the normal "rat tail" with short fine hair. how long does it take iTunes to update multiple passes of the season?
ok, so I bought the season pass several TNA iMPACT 2009 I got my first download for the episode that aired 2 weeks ago. TNA iMPACT airs every Thursday night. Now the last few weeks is not yet available for download and is now pushing this episode weeks. now I have all ready talked about it with iTunes and say they are working on the problem but not yet have recent weeks episode. so does anyone know when it might get the things I've paid?

Just started saltwater tank,how long till I see ammonia spike?
Hi all.I just started my saltwater tank on the 11th.The tank is a 28 gallon bow front I added live rock and around 13 to 15 pounds of live rock.I added a 4 striped damsel on Tuesday and a domino and a blue tail blue damsel on Thursday.So far they are doing great and all my testa are good.I am waiting on my ammonia spike and keeping a close eye on all my tests.I was wonderning how long it takes for that to happen..Also I have growth on my live rock that was there when i bought it and from what I can tell none has died off,I assume that is good..Any help,tips ,advice you can give would eb much appericated.
BTW I know some are gonna disagree with adding the damsels to the tank to aid in cycling.I can not say I am a fan of doing it this way myself..I am following the advice of the petstore that is helping me set the tank up.
They are doing great,eating like pigs and yes i know they will be hell to catch when I go to take them out..lol..Thats why I wanna know how long till I see a peak.
It can take a few days for the ammonia spike. Also as far as the grow on your live rock, if its corraline algae (red or pinkish purple), that's good. You may have been lucky to catch a coral that may have been hiding. Just Watch Out for brown (diatom) or Green Hair algae. Usually you can get this type of algae with a new start up. Make sure you get some Turbo snails, and hermit crabs to help clean up and keep clean. They will also help with your tank cycling. Also algae feeds off light, so control the hours your tank has light with a timer. I would start of with only 4hours a day, and every other day increase the light by an hour until you reach approx 8 to 10 hours. Welcome to the saltwater world.

What dress color would look good with red lipstick?
I have to work in costume design for a short film that will begin shooting soon. The film is set in the 30 and 50 and the shot is black and white. I'll be wearing a thin girl with Long Hair Wavy Brown and hazel eyes during this scene, which will be presented in color and I wish I had red lipstick on it, but I'm not sure what color the dress should be. Will I be able to dye my hair from ashblonde to a dark auburn?
My hair is completely gray from this stupid ash blonde. I leave thursday for vacation, will I be able to dye my hair a dark auburn color without problems?
I reckon that because I bleached it and took all the red out with ashblonde it would be the opposite to go a dark auburn to put some of the red back in my hair. I need help bad. i can't go to the beach with grayish ashblonde hair! This is a nightmare.
Since you are planning to go darker, i think it will cover up the gray and make it look more natural. If you are planning on doing it yourself I would use the Garnier Nutrius it doesn't smell as bad also it gives you a gloss. Don't forget to wait a day before washing ur hair so u can make sure the color will not come out. I hope this helps. Have fun at the beach salt water is good for your hair right after you color. i would avoid chlorine.

Is it ok to have a super Long Hair fetish?
Of course, most guys prefer long haired girls to short haired girls, but for me, it's the longer the better. I have very little attraction to short haired girls and in many cases i find it a turn off. Also, in terms of looks, i find an average looking girl with Super Long hair more attractive than a hot girl with short hair. And as for my ideal dream girl, in terms of looks? Floor lenth hair or longer. Is this ok? Why do I have such an attraction?
