Try This Bank Shot Helper
I love to play pool and have enjoyed the game for over 40 years. It is easy enough so that just about anyone can play it, but it is a very difficult game to completely master. Kind of like golfing.
One of the trickiest parts of the game to me has always been bank shots. It's just hard to "see" where to bounce the object ball off the bank to get the correct angle for the ball to make it to the target pocket.
I have recently come upon a simple but ingenuous idea to help determine the correct angles when attempting bank shots. It is so simple I wonder why I have never seen it before.
Using a small mirror, you can literally see where you should hit the bank with the object ball to get it on the right angle to go in the pocket. You may have heard of the "mirror angle" method of making bank shots. This is a literal interpretation of that principle.
Take a small mirror, I found a 5x7 inch one in the camping section of Walmart, and attach it to a block of wood, so that the mirror sits vertically upright. I cut a triangular piece of wood, the length of the mirror, that would just fit under the cushion overhang of the pool table rail.
Stick the mirror to the wood with two-sided tape or some other adhesive. Take this assembly with you to the pool table the next time you want to practice your bank shots.
I like to use this bank shot helper with just a single ball instead of using the cue ball and an object ball. We are trying to "see" the angles here, not necessarily make shots like in a game.
Decide on a bank shot you would like to make, say a cross-side shot. Place the mirror against the rail at the approximate location of where you would have to hit the rail to bank the object ball into the target pocket.
Bring your eyes down to shooting level and look into the mirror. When you can see the target pocket in the mirror, if you aim for exactly that spot, the ball will be at the correct angle to go into the pocket. Move the mirror aside and hit that exact spot on the bank where the pocket showed in the mirror, and even if the ball doesn't go into the pocket, you should be very close. Make sure you hit the ball straight and with no spin on it.
Once I have established this correct angle of bank to make the shot, I place a piece of chalk both on the rail where the pocket showed in the mirror, and in a line directly behind the ball I am shooting. This way I can hit any number of practice shots to perfect my aim for this shot and, by placing the balls in line between the two pieces of chalk, I maintain the same angle on the shot.
Once this angle is established, I like to stand up and get an overall view of the table. This gives me a visualization of the correct angle to make this particular shot, and where I should be hitting the rail to make the bank.
I then like to hit several racks of balls worth of this same bank shot until I have it ingrained in my mind, so that the next time I see a similar shot in a game, I will have a better understanding of the proper angle I need to make the bank shot. Doing this same shot over and over is a way of programming this shot into your mind and body.
As you practice this bank shot method, you will find that all your shots may not follow the same angle every time. This was due, in my case, to putting some unintentional spin on the ball as I hit it. You have to really concentrate to hit the ball perfectly straight, with no spin on it, every shot.
I try to hit the ball just above horizontal center and exactly at vertical center, and at a medium speed. This will give the ball a little follow to it, and will make it roll as straight as possible. Any spin on the ball will cause it to bounce off the rail at a different angle.
So, not only will this method of practice help your bank shot visualization skills, but it will also improve your stroke. When you can sink bank shot after bank shot, you will know that your stroke is perfectly straight and you are consistently hitting the ball correctly.
Consistency is one of the most difficult things to master in the game of pool. If you make one of these devices and use it faithfully, I guarantee that your pool shooting and bank shot making will greatly improve.

Color Mix
Color Theory: Painting Colors With Goethe
Knowledge on mixing colors and using contrast is commonly spread. But there are other color effects, that can't be explained by most color theory and color wheel info.
Even when I didn't use color yet, I noticed that a white painted on black gets a different look than a black painted on white. When you paint a semi-transparant white over black, it gets a cold, bluish tone. And when you paint a semi-transparent black over white, it gets a warm, brownish tone. Years later I found, that this phenomenon can be explained by Goethes theory of color.
Goethe doesn't juggle with wavelengths, atoms or breaking indexes - instead he consciously uses only his own perception. He found that for color to appear (in for example the atmosphere), you need light, darkness and a transparent form of matter (like air, water, glass etc.). Warm colors (yellow-orange-red) appear when you see darkness before light, and you see blues when, seen from your standpoint, you see light before darkness. In a prisma, it works about the same way. Of course, atoms and wavelengths have a truth of their own. But it's a machine-truth. We don't see atoms or wavelengths. Newtons theory of color is good for building color-tv's, but for art it was a disaster. More than once, I heard my colleague-painters declare color actually doesn't exist, that it's a purely subjective phenomenon, an illusion created by the brain. That's not something an artist can work with. Goethes theory for me was a solution. It actually helped me understand color. With Goethes theory of color you can't build color tv's, because it describes the ideal part of nature itself. But Goethes theory of color is great for artists and graphic designers.
I took some lessons of two watercolorists. They were experts in a method developed by a unique watercolorist (Liane Collot-d'Herbois) who took Goethes knowledge as a basis, and experimented with it to explore the features of every single color. She also found out, that colors don't have to mix as matter at all. She could bring out a radiant magenta, by using only blue and yellow paint. The magenta was there for everyone to see. Even if it was only light, it appeared as if actually painted on. And we all know, you don't get magenta, when you mix yellow and blue paint - you get green, when you mix yellow and blue.
After my watercolor-lessons, I took this knowledge into oil painting and found it works exactly the same way in oils painting. When you paint a yellow ochre background, and over that a hiding blue (mixed with white), magenta tones are appearing. And if you paint transparant blue over yellow ochre, it will blend into a green.
The interval-effect is fortified by photographic reproduction. I worked a lot with graphic programs, and found that the interval-phenomenon is even stronger when such a picture is reproduced on an LCD-screen, and sometimes extra fortified when you print the picture. Most of the time it occurs as an inexplicable magenta (pink) hue. When you make a picture in black and white, and have very well-balanced tonal values (light and darkness), stripes of green and magenta appear. When they touch, you get blue. This also happens, when you color-copy a black and white picture, with the lid open.
The effect of the interval is not about color mixing as light. It has to do with the effect of darkness or shadow as well. I have spoken about it with a goethean science teacher, he doesn't understand it yet either. But I'm sure it will be understood some day.
There is still a lot to explore, when it comes to color effects. This is really a kind of science, even if it's not about machines, and we all know science is a very slow process. But at least now I know, why reds look great when painted on white semi-transparant, and blues look ugly when you paint them that way.

Can you glue hair extension wefts together?
For example instead of gluing one weft to my hair and then another one above it, can I glue a weft to a weft and just attach the one? And what glue would I use, the regular extension glue? or hot glue or something.
I would recommend sewing the wefts together rather than glue, BUT make sure the weft isn't doubled wefted anyway make sure it is single wefted. This is because more then two wefts are too heavy for your hair and it will damage it.
You can tell which type of weft you have by checking the sewn edge, does it have a bump or is it flat? if it has a bump it is doubled wefted.

Advantages Of Soft Water
- Soft water works up a soap lather quickly. Also, it is easy to wash off the soap using soft water. The result is skin that retains its moisture and smoothness. Using soft water also reduces chances of a skin disease.
- Clothes rinsed in soft water have a longer shelf life than clothes washed in hard water. Minerals lead to corrosion of fabrics. Since soft water does not have f minerals, clothes washed using it have greater chances of having a longer shelf life.
- If your crockery and utensils are washed using soft water, not only will you be able to wash off the dirt faster, your crockery will also retain its original color rather than attain the reddish tinge of minerals.
- Unlike hard water, soft water, when passes through the pipelines, does not leave mineral deposit on the inner surface of the pipes, thereby causing less damage. Also, soft water does not contain limescale which helps in limiting the expenditure while using water heater.
Disadvantages Of Soft Water
The chief disadvantage of soft water is that it is totally devoid of essential mineral content. Soft water is known to have caused serious heart ailments and coronary diseases.
Advantages of Hard Water
A study of the National Academy of Sciences says that drinking hard water is good for health, as it supplements the necessary amounts of minerals like calcium and magnesium.
Disadvantages Of Hard Water
- You cannot work up a quick lather when using hard water. Hard water leaves behind some minerals on the top surface of the skin, leading to dryness and roughness. The invisible layer of minerals also prevents the removal of harmful bacteria from your skin while washing. The soap curd that is left behind may cause skin irritation and eruption.
- Minerals in hard water combine with dirt in clothes to form an insoluble soil that leads to clothes losing their shine. The soil also means that dirt cannot be removed easily from the clothes in the next wash.
- Washing hair with hard water means that your tresses will eventually attain a natural reddish tinge, which is difficult to remove in any natural way.

- Using boilers in which hard water is boiled means greater expenditure. The limescale present in hard water increases the electricity bills by as high as 25 percent.

Pull Ups - All Around Strength & Power!!!
Pull Ups are a staple of functional strength and a testament to the versatility of bodyweight training. You want crazy upper body and core strength? You want toned and ripped shoulders, arms, back, and abs? You want to escape a hazardous situation by pulling yourself to safety? Time to hit the pull up bar!
In addition to being used as a vital exercise by fitness enthusiasts for the last century, pull ups are used by most military and law enforcement organizations to test the strength and conditioning levels of soldiers, police officers, fire fighters, and other individuals in physically demanding professions. You might also remember how the evil PE teacher from your childhood would line everybody up and record your pull up count? The reason for this pull up-testing obsession is simple: pull ups are a necessary movement for survival and an indicator of a person's overall fitness level because they require the strength and coordination of muscles in your arms, shoulders, back, and core (and that's just in standard variations!).
So what muscles are worked by performing pull ups and how? Let's start with the grip. When performing a standard pull up, you'll be utilizing what's called a "hook grip." Similar to the grip you would use during a Farmer's Walk, the pull up will require a hook grip capable of holding your entire bodyweight. This involves finger, hand, and forearm strength. In addition, if you were to perform any one of the variety of explosive pull up variations (such as Clap Pull Ups, Switch Pull Ups, or Walking Pull Ups), the effect of launching and catching your bodyweight demands even more grip strength.
Let's move up your arms to the biceps and triceps. While standard pull ups require more back (trap and lat) strength than bicep and tricep strength, there are plenty of variations that involve more. Typically, the farther your head is away from the bar, the more upper arm strength each repetition will require. Chin Ups are a good example of a more bicep-intensive exercise. Chin Ups involve having your palms facing your body, then using your upper arms to perform each repetition. If you want a good burn, try holding a Chin Up for 30-60 seconds in the middle of a repetition with your upper and lower arms at a 90 degree angle, or "pump" in a small motion around that point. You can also perform partials to hit your arms in different ways. Try performing a set of 10 reps going from a hanging position to the halfway point then back, then immediately perform another set of 10 reps going from the top position to the halfway point then back, and finish with a set of 10 full Chin Up reps.
Onto the shoulders! Pull ups demand shoulder strength, flexibility, and agility in order to perform safely and correctly. The muscles in the front of the shoulders are used to stabilize each repetition, especially when performing explosive pull up variations. If performed correctly, the stress to your shoulder joints by high Pull Up reps should be minimized, however, it's extremely important to warm up your shoulders prior to long sets and cool down with a series of shoulder stretches following a hard workout.
Back attack! More than anything, the focus of Pull Ups should be your back. The back muscles worked by standard Pull Ups include the latissimus dorsi, teres major, the rhomboids, and trapezius muscles. The primary mover for Pull Ups is the latissimus dorsi, normally referred to as the "lats." This group of muscles, located in the middle of your back, must be utilized during each repetition. Over-reliance on your arms and shoulders for Pull Ups will severely limit the maximum amount of reps you are able to perform. Refer to the Pull Up Form & Training Techniques section for tips on how to "activate" the lats.
Finally, get ready for some killer abs! It may seem strange, but properly performed pull ups require a lot of core strength to stabilize each repetition. In addition, variations of the pull up exercise, such as the L-Sit Pull Up, Burpee Pull Up, or Knee-Raise Pull Up can help you get a killer core workout while performing sets of Pull Ups.

Pull Up Form & Training Techniques
1) Save Your Joints! You might have seen or experienced trainees giving each other crap about not hanging completely at the bottom of each rep, don't get involved in this! Rather than simply hanging at the bottom of each repetition (which puts unnecessary strain on your tendons and ligaments), start each rep with your shoulders tucked into their sockets and your elbows at a slightly bent position. This will allow you to perform more reps without the joint pain that comes from complete hanging lock outs.
2) Activate Your Back! Standard Pull Ups should be performed with a focus on the lats, rather than the arms and shoulders. If you can't feel your back being used, try warming up with a set of Kettlebell Rows, Double High Pulls, Body Rows, or Extended Push Ups. You can also have someone poke or slap your lats to "wake them up."
3) Complete the Reps! Make sure you're performing full reps; don't stop when your eyes are level with the bar, get your chin over it each time. If you find that by the fifth rep, you're barely making it, it might be time to stop or switch to an easier variation (Chin Ups or Neutral Grip Pull Ups).
4) Mix It Up! As you try to increase your Pull Up numbers, remember to mix up your technique. You need to hit all the muscles involved in Pull Ups from every angle in order to improve. Check out the list of Pull Up Variations to the right and look at the how to's at MyMadMethods.com
5) Grease the Groove! This is a popular strength training technique that I've used in the past to increase my pull up and pressing numbers. It's simple: perform a set of Pull Ups (or a different variation each time) every 2-3 hours during the day. Even if you're only able to do a couple at a time, you'll be able to perform dozens over the course of a day. Again, shoulder joint mobility training is essential for using this technique.
"Your First Pull Up" Workout Routine
Alright! You now have a variety of pull up variations and other exercises to help improve your pull up numbers. Here is a simple routine that you can do 2-3 times a week (in addition to your regular workout routines) to help improve your pull up numbers or allow you to perform your first one. This workout has a simple structure that you can mix and match with different exercises in the Pull Up Building Exercises above.
A1: Pull Up Negatives – 2 x 5 reps with a 5 count down
A2: Hanging Leg Raises – 2 x 10
B1: Chin Up Negatives – 2 x 5 reps with a 5 count down
B2: L-Sit Hangs – 2 x 30-60 sec
C1: Extended Push Ups – 2 x 10
C2: Bar Hangs – 2 x 30-60 sec
D: Farmer Walks – 2 x 50 feet

Myocardial heavier numbers like the constant change and the cycle of environmental and psychedelic moments of inspiration found in disassembly and memorable moment for days, which clearly demonstrates the will of the band to experiment. when I pull the bridge up as a movie, becomes a half step to the standard tuning and when I film back, going back to half way ... What should I do
I guess which is like a bridge once, is likely to have the spring on the back cover, you may need to adjust (add or remove) to ensure that everything is free of friction, perhaps a little oil on moving parts, so return to standard tuning.
